This twofold regulation, which began on October 1, 2022, restricts HFSS products from being placed in high-impulse purchase areas, such as near tills. Additionally, from October 1, 2023, there are restrictions on HFSS products by volume price. These regulations aim to encourage healthier consumer choices and reduce the intake of foods high in fat, salt, and sugar.

In response to these legislative changes, Food Connections has enhanced its flapjack range to meet all HFSS guidelines. We are proud to be able to offer flapjacks with lower levels of fat, saturated fat, and sugar, ensuring they are both delicious and health-conscious.
