Sales
Mark, Sales Development Manager
You’ll usually find Mark out and about on the road, visiting existing and potential new customers. He’s a new daddy to twins, which is as exciting as it is exhausting! When he gets a moment in his spare time, he loves watching sports.
Best bit of advice you’ve been given? A sale is not a sale until it has been paid for!
Ruth, Wholesale/Food Service Development Executive
Ruth is a new addition to our sales team, she has a wealth of experience in the food service industry. She brings with her a creative and can do attitude in all aspects of business.
Favourite hobby? Running
Sharon Hayes, Business Development Manager
Sharon has been with us for 4 years and has a particular passion for the sports nutrition market. In her day-to-day role she looks at complex developments, specific needs with regard to new ingredients, and reviews market insights. In her spare time, she loves nothing more than travelling to new and exotic places.
Dream holiday? Backpacking around the world!
Sarina, Internal Sales Controller
Sarina is one of our longest-serving members and as a result is our go-to fount of knowledge. Having been with us for 14 years, there's not much about the business that Sarina doesn't know! A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves kind of person, you won’t find Sarina kicking back relaxing in her spare time – instead, she volunteers for the Sea Cadets, organising all kinds of events at the weekends.
Favourite Food Connections snack? Caramel Shortcake.
Operations
Gail, Operations Director
Gail has been with us since 2012, leaving for a short period before quickly realising she couldn’t stay away! In her role as Operations Manager, she makes sure that everything runs on time from initial proposals right through to delivery. She’s a pretty active person in her spare time, too, enjoying yoga and horse riding.
What’s the first thing you’d buy if you won the lottery? A field to have lots of picnics and tipi parties in!
Hollie, Sales & Logistics Coordinator
Hollie has been at Food Connections for 3 years. She certainly knows her stuff so you can be sure that your orders are in safe and capable hands! In her free time, she likes tootling around the country in her camper van and going to Leicester City matches.
What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery? Go on a cruise around the world.
Krishna, Administration Coordinator
Krishna has been with us for 1 year, whilst shes the baby of the of the team she certainly knows her stuff! She will most likely be the first voice you hear when you call us!
Dream Holiday? Maldives and Bahamas... nothing wrong with dreaming!
Miki, NPD manager
As our resident new product development pro, Miki is an invaluable asset to our team. In fact, Miki’s job is so important and interesting, we’ve already written a whole blog on her work! Born in Japan, she now lives in the UK. She loves music and is exceptionally good at playing the piano!
Do you have a hidden talent? Karate (so don’t upset her!)
Emily, NPD Assistant
Miki's right hand woman! Previously a NPD chef, Emily has years of experience in the development kitchen. Emily enjoys going to her families vineyard in Italy where they produce their own olive oil!
Favourite colour? Green!

Dean, Finance Director
Dean is another Food Connections stalwart, having been with us for 14 years. He’s a bit of a football fan in his spare time – not only is he a proud Leicester City season ticket holder, but he’s also an FA-qualified coach to the under 14s local football team!
Favourite Food Connections product? Rainbow Cookie.
Penny, Finance Manager
Penny has been with us for 10 years. She enjoys listening to music and watching films (her favourite is Rain Man!) when she has some downtime. She’s certainly no couch potato, however, as she also loves getting out and about in the countryside whenever possible – particularly the French countryside, where she regularly visits on her holidays to appreciate the sunny vineyards!
What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery? Emigrate to France.
Sammie, Purchase Ledger Controller
As our Purchase Ledger Controller, Sammie handles all accounts payable. You’ll know Sammie straight away thanks to her fabulously manicured jazzy nails, which she’s never without! Sammie is also a real foodie and currently on maternity looking after baby Reuben!
Guilty Pleasure? I’m a Joules addict!
Nikki, Sales Ledger Manager
Nikki has been with us for 4 years. Before joining Food Connections she lived in Germany for 3 years! Nikki is very into the gym and she’s also a very active member of a book club – you’ll often find her curled up with a good read and a Bailey’s coffee after her workout sessions!
