Over the last decade there has been a surge in interest in protein-based products across the globe, with 39% of consumers saying that they are looking to increase their intake of protein*. Protein as an ingredient, has become more popular in mainstream society, with more and more products readily available to consumers. Unlike ‘fad’ diets, the demand for protein products has become ingrained in day-to-day life, with consumers associating the ingredient with physical and mental health benefits. As a result, products with added protein have become more popular with everyday consumers looking for a convenient way to boost their health alongside maintaining a balanced diet. 51% of global consumers indicated that they had looked to substitute their traditional snacking options in favour of higher protein alternatives.

With over 30 years’ experience in the snack product market, we have extensive experience in producing delicious tasting products with something good in every bite. Ever growing sales show us that the market for on-the-go snacks is more popular than ever. And with general consumers driving the protein market we understand that customers are not willing to compromise on taste in pursuit of maximum physical benefit. And so, Punk’d Protein was born… 

Launching in the fall of 2021 Punk’d was created to sit in the middle ground between non protein and high protein products, offering snack products that can be incorporated into everyday life that don’t compromise on taste or texture. Our range consists of both chocolate and peanut butter flapjack bars, classic and white chocolate rocky road bars, a millionaire shortbread bar, and a cookie; and with a minimum of 10g of protein in each they are positioned to replace a daily confectionary snack but with additional health benefit.

A snacking bar in principle, it is ideally found within the snacking/confectionary aisle and since launch we’ve worked with the likes of Holland and Barrett, B&M Stores as well as Golf clubs, fitness outlet suppliers and numerous gyms across the UK. We’ve secured numerous sponsorship arrangements with national cycling events and have partnered up with elite Team GB hopeful Jimmy Kershaw to help promote our range, along with raising brand awareness sponsoring international road cycling events and Cyclo X leagues over the past 18 months.
